Science Term 3

Posted by Ms Zina Alnakeeb on 11 October 2018

Term 3 saw our students celebrate National Science Week with many hands-on activities including soap-making, building sundials and environmentally friendly bird houses and a bird bath for our schools garden. High school students also mentored the primary school students in investigating a range of scientific concepts like light, sound and electricity. Year 7 science students built Rube Goldberg models to showcase their understanding of the function of simple machines. Year 8 and 9 science students conducted first-hand investigations and wrote scientific reports to communicate their findings. Year 8 students visited Science Space in Wollongong Innovation Campus to explore the variety of scientific concepts on exhibit.
