Assalamu Alaykum wa rahmatullah wa barakatuh,
I want to begin by praising Allah, The Almighty, for His mercy, blessings and all the strength and patience He has bestowed us with to get through this lockdown. This lockdown has stopped face to face teaching however, Alhamdulillaah our students have flourished through the online platform. I have prepared videos encapsulating all the daily concepts the students need to comprehend and Alhamdulillah I have received positive feedback from the students. The students were able to watch the videos at their own pace and in the comfort and privacy of their own home proving to be a great resource for them now and in the future when they need to revisit the concepts covered in these videos. In addition, I was able to respond to their queries through personalised videos or one-to-one lives which is an amazing opportunity for students to comprehend concepts further and express any concerns they have discretely. Subhan Allah it was through Covid I realised how beneficial this medium of learning is to my students. As Allah, The Almighty states in the Quran “And it may be that you dislike a thing which is good for you and that you like a thing which is bad for you. Allah knows but you do not know.” (AI-Baqarah, 2:216).
Alhamdululillaah my students have not been academically disadvantaged and in fact we are slightly ahead of schedule.
I want to thank the efforts and resilience of the students who persevered through these restrictions, and I want to thank you for your resilience and support through these challenging and unprecedented circumstances. Onwards and upwards from here inshaa’Allah, and I look forward to next term filled with many surprises yet not beyond us inshaa’Allah. Irfan College is more than a college, it is one big family and nothing inshaa’Allah will disturb the great bond and resilience we share.
Peace and kind wishes, Ms Joumana
